Concerts in France and in the Prairies!

Right after his performance at the Téléthon Opération Enfant Soleil (TVA Network) this Sunday, June 6th, Ian will board a plane taking him to France for two gigs in Paris and one in Lille, in the northern part of France. When he gets back, Ian will make a second stop in the prairies in 2010 as he will participate in the Summer Solstice Fest in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan.

April 21, 2010 - Following his performance at the Youth Forum of the Montreal Millenium Summit this afternoon at the Palais des Congrès, Ian felt like bringing the message forward some more and decided to offer La Terre free for people to download as part of Earth Day. Those interested can go on Zik.ca as of midnight April 22nd and for the next 24 hours.

Proud performer at the Montreal Millenium Summit 2010

Ian has accepted an invitation to give the opening performance at the Youth Forum of the Montreal Millenium Summit to be held on April 21st 2010 at the Palais des Congrès. The Forum's organisers have asked Ian to sing two of his songs: La Terre and Wonderful Humans. These songs, that speak of human impact on the environment and of climate change, are dead on to set the table for the forum which will precisely touch those two issues. Ian Kelly confirmed at OSHEAGA 2010

Osheaga (July 31/Aug. 1st - Parc Jean-Drapeau - Montreal) line-up is now confirmed and Ian is part of it. This will be Ian's 1st appearance at the Montreal music fest. Weekend passes go on sale March 23rd at noon. www.osheaga.com

ON TOUR WITH THE TRIO...

Wherever he lays his guitar and microphone, Ian Kelly pleases and woos those present. It seems that each of his concerts wins him more fans who are charmed by his soft almost comforting folk. After a short tour in France last Fall, Kelly will now be hitting the road for a dozen concerts in Quebec and Western Canada. He will be offering a hometown concert at Club Soda on February 25th as part of the Montreal High Lights Festival (Montréal en Lumière). With him on stage that evening will be his usual stage partners Jon Day on keyboard and Mark Nelson on drums; the trio will be joined by Didace Grondin-Brouillette on guitar, David Carbonneau on trumpet and Josée Lefebvre on back-vocals.

Ian Kelly presents Complicated, new radio single and new video!

Ian Kelly brings to you today a new single "Complicated", along with a new videoclip, taken from his second outing Speak your mind which has sold close to 15 000 copies to date. Annick Gamache, who stars in the video, and Janique Crépeau, who also did the graphic design for both of Kelly’s albums and is behind all of the concert video design for Kelly, directed this touching videoclip. The directing duo was in good hands working alongside talented photograph Martin Girard, of Shoot Studio, who made his debut as director of photography. We’re willing to bet this won’t be his last clip!

IAN KELLY IN FRANCE FOR A QUICK 1ST VISIT

Ian will be in France from November 24th to the 29th. His first ever performance in France he will be on the TV set of Lille's WEO on the 24th, allowing him to promote his concert in Lille on the 26th with Delbi. On the 25-27 and 28, Ian will be in Paris, sharing the stage at La Bellevilloise with Lola Baï on the 25th and participating in a triple-bill on the 27th with Lola and Valentine's Day. On the 28th, Ian will be joining stand-up comic Marc Boilard for a few songs and a quick encounter on stage. Should be fun.

SMIM 2009 Edition - Selections Concert

In the evening of October 23rd, eight emerging bands will take on the stage at SAT to show what they are made of. This showcase "Selections concert" will bring to you the music of Apadoorai (World/Jazz), Plajia (Prog/Rock), Modeen (Rock/Indie), Patrick Pleau (Indie/Pop), Tanuki Project (Electro), Le Monde dans le Feu (Electro/Garage), King Bochek (Garage/Folk) et La Tourelle Orkestra (World/Instrumental). All are welcome to this evening which will be hosted by off the wall duo VIDONS LA DON'LA QUESTION and will end with a performance by the IAN KELLY Trio! Free admission

Ian Kelly back on Belle & Bum

Ian Kelly will be back on the TV stage of Belle & Bum, Saturday October 10th at 9PM - live on Télé-Québec. This will be Ian's 4th visit to the set which lead him to signing an artist deal with Audiogram. In fact, when Ian was first at Belle & Bum in 2006, Audiogram president Michel Bélanger was at home watching. He called Ian the next week and the rest, as they say...

Take Me Home, 2nd single from Ian Kelly's Speak Your Mind, just hit #1 on MusiMax's countdown. Nice addition to a cool week that will have Ian perform as the opening act to UK's Katie Melua on Saturday May 23rd at Metropolis in Montreal. This concert is sold out.

Montrealers willing to see Ian on stage can bounce back and attend the Lion d'Or performance as part of the Decanted Series next Thursday, May 28th at 9PM.

Take Me Home on Taxi 0-22

Ian Kelly's Take Me Home, 2nd single from the album, was heard on the final episode of TVA's hit television show Taxi 0-22, starring Patrick Huard. Patrick, who also directs the show, says he chose the song for its beautiful ambiance which he wanted for this special moment between Rogatien, his character, and Nancy.
